Weeknote 1st to 8th February 2021
Highlights from last week
- Meetings with potential new service design partners
- I shared our service design maturity model with over 250 colleagues at our product development strategy show and tell
- Welcomed Eliana to our coronavirus vaccinations team as lead user researcher
- Watched with tens of others the coronavirus testing UR team deliver a impactful show and tell on inclusive user research
What made me think
Conversations with colleagues that included some really positive feedback from them about me and my approach as a leader. It reminded me of my very first blog post and the message that everyone, however senior needs feedback and appreciates it when they get it. https://medium.com/@rochelle.gold/the-magic-of-feedback-d64e49b7a29d
We are all still developing. No one knows all the answers. No one knows the right answer, just the answer that might work in that situation in that context. So when we are doing something good (or not so good) it is always valuable to hear it from others.
Some of what I will be doing this week
- Getting the maturity model self assessment tool out to pilot
- Being part of the Digital and Technology Assurance Board, ensuring that NHS Digital spend approved meets the service standard
- Taking part in inclusive recruitment training
- Working with colleagues on the redesign of our intro to UCD course
- Having a short week with a day off to have time to myself and some headspace before half term
